ANDREA IANNONE DECLARED UNFIT FOR MOST ROUND AFTER FP 1 CRASH!

ANDREA IANNONE DECLARED UNFIT FOR MOST ROUND AFTER FP 1 CRASH!

The Most Round for Team Pata Go Eleven and Andrea Iannone lasted only a few laps; in a FP 1 held in slippery asphalt conditions, not wet but with some wet patches, the number 29 crashed heavily on the second fast lap, the first after a first red flag caused by Rea’s crash. A strong highside coming out of the last corner, with consequent landing on the asphalt left everyone holding their breath for a few seconds; Andrea then managed to exit the track walking. The following checks at the medical center revealed a triple fracture of three toes on his right foot, one of which was displaced. Unfit, weekend over, and the rider from Vasto is already on the way back to Italy to undergo a surgery to reduce the fracture tomorrow morning. From there, it will be possible to better understand the recovery times and begin rehabilitation.

Andrea tried in every way to request the possibility of competing in the next free practices, to test if the pain was manageable on the track, but unfortunately the procedure following this type of fractures involves the exclusion from the Round.

Team Pata Go Eleven and all the staff wish their rider a speedy recovery, waiting him back on track as soon as possible!

Andrea Iannone (Rider):

“Unfortunately our weekend in Most is already over, in FP 1 I had an highside in the last turn and after the checks I have three broken toes, one of the fractures is displaced. I asked to try to ride  because, in any case, overall I’m fine, but I was declared Unfit. I’m already on the way back to Italy to undergo, tomorrow morning, the surgery to reduce the fractures in my toes, after which I will start rehabilitation to get better as soon as possible”
