ESTORIL – FIRST ROUND OUT OF TWO FOR THE 2025 WORLDSBK SEASON FINALE!
WorldSBK Season Finale starts with the usual double-header between Portugal and Spain, Estoril this weekend, followed by the grand finale next week in Jerez. Located just outside Lisbon, the Estoril track is a complete circuit, from the hard braking at Turn 1 to the spectacular finish-line bend. Situated among the hills, the central sectors are a constant up and down.
The weather has always played a major role here over the weekend, with rain often come for the races, mixing things up. For the 2025 edition, the forecast looks positive, with mild temperatures and sunny skies; wind will be a factor and could significantly bother the riders on track. For what concern tyres, Pirelli, brings a new front solution, a development of the SC1, which should provide greater braking support; this will be evaluated during Friday. For the rear, the choice will be between the softer 126 and the classic SC0, with the qualifying tyre back for the Superpole and Superpole Race. Team Pata Go Eleven heads to the Estoril Round after its best weekend of the season since Australia, with two fourth-place finishes secured on Sunday at Aragon. Last year, at Estoril, Andrea Iannone proved a good feeling on the bike in dry conditions, especially in Race 2. Restarting from those positive feelings on the Portuguese track, confirming a top-five finish, and finishing the season with two strong performances, both here and in Jerez, is the goal set for the next two weekends!
