STRONG FIRST DAY; EXCELLENT DEBUT FOR BALDASSARRI ON THE GO ELEVEN’S PANIGALE!

A debut day that exceeded expectations for Team Go Eleven and Lorenzo Baldassarri aboard the new Borgo Panigale machine. The first laps on dry conditions, collecting many informations for the rest of the weekend. Fourth place in the morning and sixth in the afternoon confirm a good initial feeling between the number 34 and the Ducati WorldSBK.

In the morning, “Balda” worked on his riding position, finding himself comfortable with a higher seat version; he completed numerous laps on used tyres, consistently improving his times session after session. His best lap was a 1:30.275, putting him in fourth place after 40 laps.

Free Practice 1:
P 1   N. Bulega   1.29.451
P 2   Y. Montella   + 0.470
P 3   A. Bassani   + 0.788
P 4   L. Baldassarri   + 0.824

In the afternoon, the team focused on setup, trying to help Baldassarri with the turning, especially in the final sector. Step by step, the times improved, eventually replicating the morning’s best time, in very hot conditions. Sixth place confirmed the team’s excellent debut in this new adventure.

Free Practice 2:
P 1   N. Bulega   1.29.345
P 2   A. Bassani   + 0.291
P 3   S. Lowes   + 0.562

P 6   L. Baldassarri   + 0.935

It’s only the first day of testing, but it’s important to start off on the right foot!

Lorenzo Baldassarri (Rider):
“A positive start; today I let off steam after several months of waiting during the winter. The conditions were excellent, and I finally had the chance to test the Ducati Panigale in dry conditions. I’d say this first day went very well; I’m especially happy with my pace and the feeling with the team. We’re working in small steps, but we’re starting to find our way, and today I focused mainly on my riding style. I’m still not completely at one with the bike, but I don’t feel far off, and the potential is huge. I’m happy to finish ahead on this debut day. Tomorrow we have two more sessions to find a good base for the weekend and make up for everything we couldn’t do this winter.”
