Romagna, land of engines and passion, the Misano World Circuit is the circuit that hosts Round 06! Home race for Team and Rider, the warmth and push of the Italian public always provide extra motivation, especially on the Marco Simoncelli circuit, where fans usually comes to WorldSBK.

Andrea Iannone and Team Pata Go Eleven come from an unfortunate race in the Czech Republic, where a heavy crash on the last corner took out the Vasto rider from the weekend; getting back from the injury, the number 29 has already been on track for two days of official tests, right at the Misano circuit, where he still managed to complete the work program, just ten days after the crash. In the morning Andrea passed the medical FIT, thus being able to officially compete on the weekend. The heat will be a determining factor, temperatures of over 30 degrees in the air and almost 50 on the asphalt are expected. Pirelli has opted for a selection of soft tyres, SC0, the 126, the most suitable for the race and a new evolution of the qualifying tyres. Between tomorrow and Saturday morning all the compounds will be evaluated, so as to arrive on the grid for Race 1 without doubts. In the tests the work focused on the set-up aspect, finding good solutions that turned into positive comments at the end of the two days, with an interesting time reference in terms of race pace. It will be essential to understand if the heat will change the sensations on the bike.

“We are in Misano, the second Italian race of the season, and here the passion is felt from Thursday. Racing in front of italian fans always gives an extra push, it will be a very hot weekend, where temperatures will go above 30 degrees. This morning I passed the medical fit, in the tests I was able to ride consistently and I expect that the foot will not cause too much discomfort. Tomorrow in free practice we will start again from the work done in the tests, then we will evaluate our position.”
