Round 4, Balaton Park, on the shores of Lake Balaton; WorldSBK goes back\u00a0to Hungary for the second year in a row. The track and facilities are brand new, completed last year, and feature a unique, narrow layout with plenty of chicanes to break up the fast-paced corners. The track is completely flat, with no ups and downs, but highly technical and different from previous rounds. While smoothness was key at Assen, braking and agility will dominate here.<\/p>\n
The weather forecast for the weekend is expected to be nice and cool, with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius\u00a0and no risk of rain. Pirelli has opted for a soft tyre solution; the SCX will likely be the choose\u00a0for the main races, while the SCQ will appear for the first time this season, for the Superpole and Superpole Race. Balda has never tested this extra-grip tyre, cause it was never available in previous rounds, so this will be\u00a0a new challenge for the Italian rider. Technically, Balaton Park doesn’t seem, at least on paper, to be the perfect track for Ducati, so much so that last year it was a BMW stronghold. The goal for Team Go Eleven and Lorenzo Baldassarri remains the same: to consistently stay close to the top five, and why not, try to secure it after two consecutive sixth-place finishes at Assen and Portimao. Scoring championship points is crucial; fourth place is only 11 points away, and with the three Balaton races, the standings could be shaken up!<\/p>\n

It’s a new track, a little different than usual, with lots of tight chicanes, where the agility of the bike counts. Braking here is also very important, and in the first races it was one of my strong points. Last year, Toprak was the benchmark here, now I’m curious to see if we can close the gap to Nicolo’ Bulega.
