Donington Park, United Kingdom hosts Round 8 of the WorldSBK championship. It is a historic circuit for production-based racing, featuring a spectacular layout set amidst the Leicestershire hills, characterized by up and downs, fast\u00a0corners in the first section, and two tight hairpins in the final sector. As the last round before the summer break, securing a strong result will be crucial for keeping\u00a0high morale and focus leading into September.<\/p>\n

Balda and Team Go Eleven come to the UK following a positive weekend at WDW, where the rider of the #34 bike consistently showed great pace aboard the\u00a0tricolore Ducati V4S<\/em>. He secured a podium finish in Sunday’s race, helping to put the disappointment of the unlucky Misano weekend behind him. Despite a few errors, Balda has consistently demonstrated speed and the ability to contend for the top five; proving this performance here\u2014on a unique track where he has had limited recent track time\u2014would be a sign of further maturity and strength. The tyre selection for this round includes the SCX compound for the race and the SCQ for qualifying and the Superpole Race, chosen to suit the track’s medium-to-low tyre-wear characteristics. The weather forecast promises ideal conditions for the weekend, with no risk of rain and temperatures hovering around 26\u201327\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

All that remains is to note the schedule and wait for the green light!<\/p>\n

\n“Donington is an incredible track\u2014a real adrenaline rush and\u00a0part of motorsport history. I remember playing it on PlayStation as a kid, and then I raced here for the first time in 2022 in front of a huge crowd. It\u2019s definitely a physically demanding circuit, especially for the arms, but I\u2019m\u00a0in good shape. Lately, we\u2019ve achieved less than we deserved on track, but we\u2019ve always been up there fighting. I can’t wait to get out on track with the Ducati V4R; tackling Donington Park on this bike should be spectacular. Let’s get on track, and then tomorrow evening we’ll see what we can fight for!”<\/p>\n
