HALFWAY TO THE END AT MOTORLAND ARAGON; WORLDSBK GETS READY FOR ROUND 06!

HALFWAY TO THE END AT MOTORLAND ARAGON; WORLDSBK GETS READY FOR ROUND 06!

The mid-season round has come; Motorland Aragon is getting ready to host the sixth round of the World Superbike Championship! A stunning track, one of the most spectacular and complete on the whole calendar, located in the Spanish interland, among the desert hills of Aragon.

Team Go Eleven and Lorenzo Baldassarri come to Round 6 on the back of a streak of more than positive results and performances, never outside the top six since Sunday at Assen, except for the crash at Balaton park. Motorland Aragon holds good memories for both the number 34 rider and Team Go Eleven; Balda won here on his World Supersport debut, while the Italian team has two incredible victories in WorldSBK, in 2020 with Michael Rinaldi and in 2024 with Andrea Iannone, both unexpected and thrilling. The layout, consisting of fast corners, slow chicanes, and a long straight, has historically favored the Ducati V4-RS; The asphalt, however, is considered medium-high demanding for tyres, so much so that Pirelli has opted for medium solutions. SC0 for the long races, SCX for qualifying, and no Q available; temperatures and wether conditions will be on the limit, with more than 35 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

The goal for Round 06? Fighting in the top five and defending fourth place in the championship!

Lorenzo Baldassarri (Rider):
“Aragon is a unique, complete track, full of fast sections followed by slower ones. Racing it with the Superbike should be fantastic, and I can’t wait! We’re coming here with some excellent results in the back, which have propelled us to fourth place in the World Championship. I think I can be fast here and defend well, so I want to continue our positive streak. I lacked a bit of speed in the Misano tests, but I hope to feel comfortable here straight away. A good set-up in Aragon is essential for fighting at the front. The goal is to fight with the main group, have fun, and get to our home race, Misano, with our spirits at their peak!”
