WORLDSBK GRAN FINALE – JEREZ FOR THE LAST DANCE OF THE SEASON!

WORLDSBK GRAN FINALE – JEREZ FOR THE LAST DANCE OF THE SEASON!

Twelfth round of the season, the Circuito de Jerez de la Frontera welcomes the stars of the WorldSBK championship for a last, thrilling dance of 2027!

The standings still have plenty of intrigue to offer—especially for Team Go Eleven and Lorenzo Baldassarri. A tight four-way battle is underway for fourth place in the championship, and a top-five finish is well within reach for the rider number #34. Securing it, however, will require two strong races and a significant haul of points. Jerez is a historic venue in world motorcycle racing, boasting a spectacular, complete layout that shows numerous overtaking spots. It is also one of Baldassarri’s favorite tracks; he previously claimed two Moto2 victories here. Furthermore, this is where he made his debut aboard the Ducati Panigale V4-R earlier this year. While current weather conditions feature summer-like temperatures, rain could arrive on Saturday and Sunday, potentially shaking things up. As this round marks Pirelli’s final appearance in the WorldSBK championship, the tyre allocation remains standard: the SCX and SC0 will be the options for the races, with the SCQ available for qualifying.

Team Go Eleven’s goal is clear: to wrap up the season with a stellar result and head into the winter on a high note. And if that happens to secure a top-five finish in the world championship standings, it would mean achieving two goals at once!

Lorenzo Baldassarri (Rider):
“Jerez is a track I like; it’s one of my favourites on the calendar. I’ve always performed quite well here, and I even secured two victories in Moto2. We’re coming off a weekend where I struggled a bit, but in the end, we were competitive and managed to bring home two sixth-place finishes. Here, I want to fight for a spot in the top five—and perhaps get a close look at the podium. I hope it’s a good weekend for us, one that gives me a boost heading into the winter. I also hope the rain doesn’t spoil the final round of the season, but I’m ready for anything!”
